Kidney Pool Volume

The Kidney calculator figures out the total water volume of a kidney-shaped pool. Because a kidney pool has an irregular curved shape with two distinct widths, the formula accounts for both measurements to produce an accurate estimate.

The Formula​

Volume = Length × (Width A + Width B) ÷ 2 × Depth × 7

The two widths are averaged together, then multiplied by the length and depth. FlowBeacon calculates the average depth automatically from your shallow and deep depth values.

Inputs​

  • Length — The overall length of the pool from end to end
  • Width A — The wider measurement across the pool
  • Width B — The narrower measurement across the pool
  • Shallow Depth — The depth at the shallow end
  • Deep Depth — The depth at the deepest end

All measurements should be entered in feet. The calculator returns the volume in gallons, liters, and cubic feet.
